HallyuPopFest 2019

Gonna start posting all my concerts and trips from 2019 even though it's been more than a year already but I guess I still want to read back on all my trips on a single platform and this has got to be the only place that I keep them organised! Will try to remember whatever I can otherwise it will just be photographs :-)

So Tseshing and I bought tickets for HallyuPopFest19 Day 2 cause there was Super Junior and before the event there's the Red Carpet available for all, except that people that bought the VIP members or something will be able to stand in the front section. But we wanted to have a feel of how it would be like and so we both went for Day 1's red carpet since there's also gonna be WINNER!!!

We ended up getting a very very good view (probably one of the best for people who didn't get in the zone). Actually Tseshing won 1 ticket for the red carpet zone or something for Day 2 but she ended up accompanying me at my spot on Day 2 hahaha. 

There was N.Flying, Oh My Girl, Nu'est, Hyolyn & Winner for Day 1 and also A.C.E & GWSN for the showcase in the afternoon. Only took pictures of Hyolyn and WINNER cause I don't know the rest HAHAHA. 

Anyway we were kinda bored but when WINNER came out and walked past us (cause we were right at the barricade when they were gonna come out) we were like omg omg omg. 

26 May 2019 (Sunday)

For the second day there was (G)I-DLE, K.A.R.D, Pentagon, Monsta X and Super Junior with VERIVERY, Kanto, & Trei for the showcase (which we didn't attend cause we decided queueing for the red carpet was more worth it, and we got the first row right next to the barricade this time)

Went to take some pictures around the stadium area and the sunset was so beautiful that particular day.

Our seats were upgraded when we entered the venue cause they didn't sell out hahaha. Was just enjoying the concert till SUJU came out and my heart died... They were damn crazy and made the whole venue as if it was a Super Show (I'm not even kidding) and there were articles published about that hahaha. They made my $$ was damn worth it man sobs. 

Also took my film camera along for the 2 days and here's some of the pictures that I captured!

Anyway I found something that I wrote about that day in my notes. Shall post it here to sum up the day and for myself to reminisce in the future.

Camped for 4 hours under the sun just to catch a glimpse of them in broad daylight. This time, I used my film camera to try to catch them in the moment. I hope they turned out okay cause I’m using a film roll I never tried using before. I don’t think anyone will read this but my emotions are running wild tonight. They are the only ones that will go out of their way for their fans, with little gestures. During the red carpet, Yesung was actually going off already but he turned back and walk to the barricade and hae saw him and came too. :’( We were upgraded from 3rd floor to 2nd for the concert, that’s a $100+ ticket upgrade!! Anyways, I was so shock when the the whole stadium slowly started filling up with blue lights when SJ was about to come out! It felt like a Super Show. And knowing as much, SJ really made it like a Super Show. 

45 minutes of goodness. From LMS to Sorry Sorry to Bonamana to Mr Simple, and them talking for a long time. Then Donghae started asking us to turn on our phone flash light and Teuk was apologising for wasting our phone battery. Hahaha. Donghae freaking created a white ocean on his own cause he said that a sad song was coming up. AND THEY FREAKING SANG ONE MORE CHANCE. I would think that they would sing their dance track and not this, but I’m so touched. Then the stage suddenly went down and I was like huh? Then I saw Yesung on stage alone. I knew he was gonna sing a solo song, probably his new Jap song. BUT GUESS WHAT??? He sang my favourite fucking song of all time, a song that I have probably repeated more than 100 times up till today. Or maybe even 500 times?? ‘It Has To Be You’, I waited for him to sing this like forever. Actually I forgot if I heard it before but it’s so rare of him singing this... Then Wook had his solo stage, and then D&E!!!! Then the group ended with a Miracle. Perfect ending to the night. 

All the other groups came out at last and SJ was just everywhere. Then I spotted Teuk going to every corner of the stage and bowing. Initially I thought he was just bowing to all 4 corners but then he went everywhere to bow 90 degrees. He didn’t have to do that at all, it’s not even a Super Show. But he did it anyway. 

Continuing in this post for my SJ’s dedication. Don’t bother reading my ramblings, but I just wanna dedicate a post to the people who changed my life. Many people always ask the secret to SUJU’s longevity. There’s no secret. The reason why they are still together is because of them having Leeteuk as a leader. This poor boy, who had such a tough time during his army days by losing his family in such a tragic way, never once show his soft side to the world. Because he thought he had to show a good example, he had to be strong. Heechul knows how much of a tough time he had, and forced him to show it during SPTV. He’s kind to everyone, but I know he’s lonely. I can see that he’s very tired, but he still always put on a smile, remembers his manners. I just hope he opens up more to the people around him. & then we have members like Heechul promoting SJ in every variety show he goes to, bringing his members in at every opportunity given. 

I thank the rest of them too, for always staying together, for truly loving one another. They were the first group with 13 members, the most a group ever had at that era. Now they are left with 11, and I know that even if the 2 of them are inactive, they still love them because of how they have been contemplating and not blatantly kicking them out or leaving forcefully. No matter what happens, this time of hiatus proved it already. Even though there’s only 6 people on stage today, they really rock the stage as if there’s 11. The only group that can make me scream so much, tear up, and then laugh all in a short period of time. If this is not love, then what is? 

Watching them from afar is not a terrible feeling because you know they do what they do because they love doing what they do. They stick together because they love being together. They taught me so many life lessons, and made me see things in so many perspective. Thank you. 

I’ve known them since I was 11 years old, even though I only started loving them when I was 12, cause DBSK was my priority at first. But although DBSK is not DB5K anymore, I still thank them for introducing SJ into my life. Because they make me so so happy. I’m so proud to be an ELF. And I will forever be an ELF...
