Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia (April 2016)

23 April 2016 (Sunday)

Reluctant about going on a tour cause I'm such an anti-tour person but cause no other way to go to Great Ocean Road so I booked a one-day-tour! So there's a pick-up point somewhere near our apartment which is about 5 minutes walk away. Waited there for the bus to come fetch us at 7:30am! Okay the bus was quite small and I took the back seat!! Heheh. There's no Asian once again except a Korean lady with her caucasian husband, kids and in-laws. Our guide looked so hipsterish even though I think he's already 60. So we stopped at a rest area first before moving on to GOC.

Great Ocean Road
Came down the bus at a few stops at the start of GOC. I went down to walk without my mum 'cause she was feeling kinda sick and was resting in the bus. Saw a few Koala Bears on the trees! On the way there, we saw a couple of kangaroos too. Damn, the view's so sick.

Apollo Bay
Dropped at Apollo Bay and had our lunch which was at a particular restaurant booked by the tour.
Had about an hour before we needed to board the bus again. I found this beach during the time we had alone to walk around.

Maits Rest Rainforest

Shipwreck Coast
Damn. Descendants of the Sun was still airing during the time I was in Australia I think and I was in the midst of watching and this place looked so much like the place in the drama!! I can't believe there are so many beautiful places around this world!

Twelve Apostles
The walk down to this beach where the 12 apostles were at was so worth it even though it was so steep and scary. The sun was setting at that moment and everything seemed so surreal.
I think the last stop was somewhere around Colac on the way back to Melbourne. Supposedly stopped for dinner and most of the people on our tour headed to Mac but I don't know why we decided to cross a couple of roads to KFC. Ended up taking-away KFC back to Melbourne to eat. The people working there all seemed so young? The KFC looked so old school too. It was quite an experience.

Once again we board the mini-bus/van all the way to Melbourne and passed by the other side of the central too which I didn't have the time to go. Maybe till next time. Not sure when I'll be going the Australia again.
