21 March 2014
Arrived at Taipei in the afternoon and went to checked into the hotel before heading out at night. And I realised sitting on their reserved seats whether there are people or not was like a nation crime cause the people will stare at you so badly. It's worst than in Singapore. Headed to Wu Fen Pu 无粉扑 first.
Raohe St. Night Market
Headed to Raohe St. Night Market cause we don't know where to go, roamed at that area for quite awhile.

Danshui Old Street 淡水
Took the train to Danshui and headed to the street to walk and buy souvenirs there for my friends. It was on a Saturday so there were many couples and families around the park. They brought their puppies and all. Love the atmosphere there so much, with the street performers and all :-) Spent my morning-afternoon there I guess.
Tamsui Fisherman Wraft 淡水漁人碼頭 & Tamsui Lover's Bridge 淡水情人橋
Took their local bus to the Fisherman Wraft and the driver drove so recklessly and before I alighted, he nearly drove off!? It was so scary omg. So after roaming around the Lover's Bridge, we took a ferry back instead. The ferry ride is so good, especially when you stand outside and let the waves splash onto you omg.
Xi Men Ding 西门町
Went back to the hotel to put our things because there were too many things to be carried. Headed to Ximending after an hour rest? Was so amazed by that place too omg. Went to have a steamboat buffet before going out to explore the place at about 7pm. Stayed there for a few hours before heading back.

Maokong Gondola 貓空
Had breakfast at the noodle shop next to our hotel before heading to Maokong. The queue was super long when we reached there 'cause it's a tourist attraction place. But surprisingly the queue moved really fast and in no time we were up. Took the Maokong Gondola all the way up. It was pretty boring, just that I had a really good ice-cream there. Walked a little while and took some photos and decided to go back 'cause it was nothing much, just experiencing the cable car ride. And when we headed down, we had the cable car all to ourselves :-) Which made everything worth it.
Original Din Tai Fung
Had no plans afterwards so we headed to the original Din Tai Fung restaurant. The food there is really good! Had to queue for awhile though, heard it's always crowded anyway. But the wait wasn't that long. The service there and all is good too.
Xi Men Ding 西门町
I wanted to get some albums so I went to Ximending again to look for the album shop and I finally found it. Went to buy Ah Chung Mee Sua after that and it sucks? I don't get the hype about it. The other mee suas in taiwan are so much nicer. Especially the one near WuFenPu.

Yehliu Geopark 野柳地質公園
Woke up early and headed to the bus station for a bus ride to Yehliu to go to the Geological Park there. During the bus ride we passed so many vans from different broadcasting station and reporters interviewing and so on cause there was a student riot or something. Anyway, reached Yehliu and bought a ticket to the park. When I got there, it was filled with uncivilised cheenas that queued up to take a photo at every stone they see!? So turned off the entire time there so the place didn't really wow me. But the place itself would be nice I think, without them. Anyway I couldn't stand it anymore so we didn't spend much time there. Went to the 85degree cafe which we saw on the way to the bus stop. There's free wi-fi there too. Ahaha. Sat there to chill for a little while before taking a bus to Keelung.
Keelung 基隆
Had to change a bus at Keelung to go to Jiufen Old Street, so we went in search for a toilet there first after a long bus ride.
Jiufen Old Street 九份老街

Finally visited Jiufen Old Street after seeing so many pictures of it in the internet. And being a Hayao Miyazaki fan, I had to go there no matter what people say. Heheh. Walked around the old street and then headed to the place the houses were located. There's a bunch of locals that were taking their graduation photo and posing in that 那些年 pose and there weren't many people who went down to walk there so they asked me to help them take a picture. Yeah, went to walk around afterwards, love the atmosphere there. Went back up to the crowded old street and then took a bus that brings us to Zhong Xiao Fu Xing area. Walked to Sogo but there was nothing much there so we headed back to our hotel area.
Ippudo Taiwan
I wanted to try their Ippudo there and it was surprisingly cheap!? It's like $12 per person. The cheapest bowl of ramen you can find in Singapore's Ippudo is $17? LOL. AND IT TASTES SO GOOD I SWEAR. Gosh, Taiwan food is so good even their ramen is so good I wanna go there and eat forever.
Walked back to the hotel and this was the place the riot or something was in the morning and then there's these police with the shield standing there blocking the road.
25 March 2014
Last day in Taipei! Took the night flight so we had an extra day there. Didn't know where to go so we headed to Wufenpu to have the Mee Sua. It was so good, argh, had my sister brought me there earlier, I would have went there to eat that Mee Sua everyday!? Sigh, missing the mee sua so much right now. Okay anyway, we went tooo early so the shops weren't opened yet. Had no where else to go so we went to Hi-Life and sat there for a little while.

The Red House Theatre 西門紅樓

Decided to go to Ximending for the 3rd time and watch a movie. Decided on Non-Stop. Hahah, watching a hijack plane movie on the day I'm going to take a plane. It was good anyway. Went to walk around Ximending alone buying the things I had yet to buy while my family went to Subway to wait for me and the movie to start. Anyway, the movie tickets includes a drink, a snack, and popcorns.
Headed to the airport at about 5pm by bus. The bus ride was about an hour or so. Had dinner at the airport and the food there sucks. Board the plane and headed back to Singapore.
Can't believe my long-awaited trip ended just like that. I don't think I'll be travelling anytime soon. Next year perhaps :-) That's about it for my Taiwan Trip!
