16 July 2013 (Tuesday)
After waiting for half a year, the day finally came. Went to Marina Bay Sands Mastercard Theatre to watch The Phantom of the Opera. The last musical I watched was Wicked. Wicked is good, but I love The Phantom of The Opera more probably because I love the Phantom. HAHA.
Booked the tickets for the first show, not knowing this is the preview day before the opening night. But it's the first performance for Singapore in 2013. Seeing and experiencing it all live is so different from listening to the music. My seat's so close to the stage! I can totally see their faces clearly. Totally worth it. Andrew Llyod Webber is seriously a living phantom. How can he compose music that totally touches your soul? There's nothing that bores you in this musical. Maybe it will only bore you if you don't understand what's going on. Singapore should have operas and musicals on a daily basis like how it is in London and Paris with singers like Sarah Brightman. Too bad it's never going to come true. I'm going to watch it again.
